A 38-year-old Palmer man was killed and a teenager injured early Thursday morning in a four-wheeler accident.
George Green was pronounced dead at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center, according to Alaska State Troopers.
His 17-year-old passenger was treated at Mat-Su Regional for a broken arm and ruptured spleen.
Palmer dispatch received a 911 call at 1:13 a.m. and sent two ambulances from the Butte and Palmer plus a rescue vehicle from the Butte. A troopers report says they went to the scene at 1:16 a.m.
Palmer dispatch placed the accident at the intersection of the Old Glenn Highway and the north end of Bodenburg Loop across from Plumley Road.
Troopers think Green may have hit a culvert, but are continuing to investigate. They also reported that neither individual was wearing a helmet.
The State Medical Examiner's office is holding Green's body. Alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the crash, said troopers spokeswoman Megan Peters.
